As a seasoned communications professional, I thrive on the art of storytelling. With a knack for crafting compelling narratives and a strategic approach to media relations, I’ve made it my mission to give a voice to those who need to be heard. Whether drafting persuasive pitches, preparing clients for the spotlight, or leading dynamic digital campaigns, I know how to get a story out there—and make it resonate. My experience spans everything from securing top-tier media placements to managing social media platforms, always with the goal of driving meaningful engagement and making a lasting impact.

Stand out.

  • Foster Positive Media Relationships.

I was extremely lucky to work with the team at Purdue University, specifically President Mung Chiang and the University’s engineering program. I pitched Cecilia Kang at The New York times, and it turned into an extremely insightful, long-form piece detailing the announcement of Purdue’s newest campus in Indianapolis and how it will supplement or complement Purdue’s West Lafayette campus and offerings. This was a major win for myself and my team members.

  • Take a Chance.

This media win was a big one for me. I was working with a client call with Operation Good Food & Beverage as a project with Bloomberg. I pulled together a comprehensive media plan including a pitch, press release, and extensive media list with a story we weren’t sure how to convey, given its importance which is combatting the problem of disproportionate obesity rates between Black children and white children. I happened to catch the reporter at a perfect time. It’s a great series on the layers engrained in U.S. obesity rates. I was able to have my client quoted throughout, as well.

  • Adapt and Learn.

This piece was a huge accomplishment, thanks to Jamie Ducharme at time and the team I worked with. A past client, Kim Samuel, is an advocate for those who deal with loneliness and social isolation, for one of the many different reasons it could be from. I worked alongside Jamie and facilitated the publication process, and thus came “Why Work Friends Are Crucial for Your Health”

  • Use Your Momentum.

I had the pleasure of putting together a press release and accompanying pitch to share with key media. The piece outlines and details Newron’s 014/015 study of a new chemical entity (NCE) for treatment-resistant schizophrenia (TRS) found that 40% of patients improved to the point of no longer meeting TRS severity criteria after 6 months of treatment. This is another major outlet in the healthcare space.

  • Go get it.

I worked closely with the reporter from BioProcess International who brought this piece to fruition, drafting a pitch and creating a rapport. This is a major healthcare publication, and the reporter had the pleasure connecting with recently appointed CEO of Poseida Therapeutics Kristin Yarema to discuss her goals, strategy, and why the firm is solely focused on allogeneic cell therapies.

  • Engage with Purpose.

I coordinated the creation of a press release that served as the cornerstone of our client's earned media efforts. By crafting a compelling narrative and developing a targeted pitch, we strategically coordinated with media outlets, resulting in extensive coverage that amplified our client's message and enhanced their brand visibility.
